This advert for Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur caught my eye. Beautifully illustrated, I must find out who the artist is. I will put my Sherlock Holmes hat on and get back to you!!
An Illustration and Graphics student studying at The University of Cumbria, this is my maiden voyage on the good ship Blogger! This blog is all about me, the things I like, my passions, interests, influences, the world as I see it. I am a human specimen, an example of the human species, a product of nature and nurture, a science project in process. If you could see inside my brain, this is what it would look like! :)

Earth Angel.
I took this photo of a stone angel in Carlisle Cemetery, one of my favourite places. People think it's a bit morbid or morose to hang out in the cemetery, I always say it's the living you have to worry about! The cemetery has an abundance of camera fodder; aged, weather beaten stone, chapels, wildlife, plants, flowers, grave stones, monuments, wrought iron work. Far from being a place for the dead, it is alive with atmosphere, a place to celebrate life.
Melody Gardot, a very special talent.
Melody Gardot on Later with Jools
Just discovered Melody Gardot. An American singer songwriter, she began writing music after an accident in which she was knocked off her bike by a car, suffering terrible injuries. She was confined to a hospital bed for over a year and taught herself to play guitar in this time, laying on her back. Her brain injury meant she had to learn how to speak again and she believes that the therapeutic values of music aided her recovery. I love her story. Triumph through unbelievable adversity. The resilience of the human soul. The capacity for the human body to recover and adapt. Amazing.

What is wrong with me? Weird crushes pt 1.
![]() |
Mr Benn, 80's cartoon character with transvestite tendencies |
Just a few of the 'characters' I have had inexplainable crushes on over the years....
![]() |
Noel Edmunds, TV twat and purveyor of the manel toe |
![]() |
Mike Neville, off've Look North, my very earliest crush, aged about 4 I loved him and wanted to marry him, and I didn't care who knew it |
![]() |
Alan Carr. Need I elaborate? |
![]() |
Mika, the latest unlikely candidate for my misguide affections, easy on the eye, granted, but deserves to be castrated for crimes against music. Not cool. |
....which begs the question "What is wrong with me???"
